Contrary to the statement in the bulletin, we will be meeting tonight. We will not be meeting on Labor Day. We will be meeting again after that on September 12, the date that was in the bulletin.

We covered both lessons on the Lord’s Supper last week, so tonight we will begin several lessons on Johh Calvin, the first Reformer to bear the honorific title, Theologian. He has also been called the Apostle of the Holy Spirit. Join us to learn why and how this man became more influential and more controversial than any other fellow Reformer.

A really huge issue in the history of the church has been what is called the Lord’s Supper, Communion, Eucharist and Mass. So we can understand why this issue has been so divisive an so very important, we will take a three week break from church history, per se, to take a parenthetical look at the Lord’s Supper, its meaning and purpose.
