Their lifelong friendship suffered a break on account of disagreements over God’s sovereignty and free will. Wasn’t Whitefield a staunch Calvinist, even though he was friends with Arminian Wesley?

Whitefield was Calvinist but the friendship broke up over Wesley’s Arminianism. THey didnt speak for many years. Wesley apologiaed at Whitefield’s funeral— a little late.
